THOSE GOLDEN RECIPES

Do you have one?

I was lucky enough to try a slice of history through my friend's amazing banana slice/cake. This recipe is one of her family favourites and as I was eating through my first slice she was telling me about her struggle with perfecting her Nana's buttercream filling which is used in this recipe, needless to say it was delicious nontheless.

AFTERNOON DELIGHTS

The sunshine was cool by the time we came home from school today and we feasted on some summery fruits that we bought over the weekend. He read out his home reader as I set out the table and before I managed to bring the second cup of tea over, he was already sneaking into the cherries.

SUNDAY

Everyone looked fresh as they walked through the doors today. Something about a sunny and windy winters day that makes everyone look so crisp and bright eyed. Perhaps it's just the relief that naturally exudes when you find solace away from the wind and find yourself inside a warm and cosy space. I enjoyed watching them come in through the door. Today the boys kicked the footy out the front while Vinnie and I sat and watched and talked and laughed.
